Gansett's New Beach Inspired Imperial Brew

Taste summer in a bottle, but only for a limited time

Posted

“Beer on the beach” – pleasing to say, and even more pleasing to experience. Narragansett Beer’s latest entry in their Private Stock series tries to bottle this quintessential summertime leisure with its Town Beach Imperial IPA.

The limited-edition craft beer features 22 ounces of “German and American ingredients,” starting with a pale malt and German pilsner base for a citrus character. Nugget, Chinook and Hallertau hops infuse a bitter magic while a blonde malt adds a smoothness and approachability. Brew maestro Sean Larkin concocted the downtime-ready brew at Buzzard’s Bay Brewing Co. in Westport, MA.

You can pick up a bomber bottle of sweet beach dreams for $5.99 in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut. An ABV of 8.1% will surely help you in reaching the dreamy beach scene featured on the label: reclining on soft, glimmering sand as you stare out at the slowly ebbing waves.
