Across from the Post Office in Little Compton, look for the “open” flag on Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am-3pm.

What makes it a Rhody Gem?

For 57 years, the Thursday Thrift Shop has provided locals in Little Compton with classic closet staples and great fashion finds. Both a thrift and consignment store, the shop offers a large selection of goods. From a pair of $4 jeans for gardening to a tuxedo for a wedding, they’ve got you covered. “Our men’s department has a vast selection for all of your daily needs, and the linens and housewares departments have great bargains on all of your must-have appliances,” says Karin Bodington, one of the volunteers. “What really sets this shop apart from others is that all proceeds from transactions go directly toward helping to support our outreach mission.” Regular hours are Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am to 3pm, but check the Thursday Thrift Shop Facebook page for occasional pop-ups. Donations are accepted by appointment only, and they are always seeking volunteers to staff the desk and price and stock the racks. “All are welcome to stop by and shop!” says Bodington.
