Primary care can involve a surprising amount of unfinished business. A test result raises another question. A new symptom appears between appointments. Or a routine visit turns up something worth keeping an eye on long after the exam room door closes.
MDRI Health is expanding its concierge program around having more room for those conversations.
Beginning this fall, the Rhode Island-based medical group will open a limited number of spots in its Membership Primary Care program. Several MDRI physicians will accept new members for an annual fee of $500, with eligibility limited to patients with participating commercial insurance.
The membership includes enhanced non-covered services designed around physician access, communication, and personalized attention. In practice, that means placing more emphasis on the ongoing relationship between patient and provider instead of treating each appointment like an isolated visit.
That approach also shapes MDRI’s broader philosophy of care. Physicians and advanced practice providers focus on prevention and wellness alongside the everyday work of managing health concerns, monitoring changes, and helping patients make sense of what comes next. The goal is continuity, not just convenience.
Patients, the group says, tend to value being known by their medical team. That can mean having a physician who remembers the history behind a concern, listens closely when something feels off, and communicates clearly when follow-up matters.
For Frank M. Dalessandro, MD, Jonathan Martin, MD, John Chece, DO, and the rest of the MDRI team, the membership model builds on that idea by giving interested patients another way to stay connected to their primary care physicians.
MDRI Health’s East Greenwich practice is based at 1407 South County Trail, with additional locations in Lincoln and Johnston. Together, the three Rhode Island offices keep the group’s relationship-driven approach to primary care close to home for patients across the state.
For anyone who has ever remembered the question they meant to ask somewhere between the checkout desk and the parking lot, a little more access may sound especially appealing. Learn more about MDRI Health and Membership Primary Care at MDRIHealth.com or call 401-661-0977.
